This material offers high hardness, with a post-heat-treatment hardness reaching HRC 58-62. It possesses excellent abrasion and erosion resistance (wear resistance). For alkaline mixed liquids, it demonstrates relatively good corrosion resistance, making it suitable for highly abrasive service conditions. The casting process for high-chromium cast iron is complex and challenging, and machining is relatively difficult. Nevertheless, its long service life and moderate cost make it the most widely used material in slurry pump applications.
A07 is a wear-resistant material developed based on KmTBCr15Mo3. KmTBCr15Mo3 is currently recognized worldwide as an excellent wear-resistant material. It is typically used for slurry transportation involving high concentrations, high heads (high discharge pressures), and severe abrasion. However, its application is somewhat limited due to its relatively high cost.
Heat Treatment Hardness: HRC 58-70
This material exhibits high hardness and exceptional wear resistance, earning it the reputation as the "King of Wear Resistance".
The material is relatively brittle and is suitable for abrasive wear applications subject to moderate impact loads.
KmTBCr15Mo3 (Cr15Mo3) is recommended when the median particle size (d50) of the solid material is coarser. For slurries with finer median particle size (d50), KmTBCr27 is more suitable.
Heat Treatment Hardness: HRC 44-50
Corrosion Resistance: Austenite endows it with corrosion resistance, enabling it to withstand sulfuric acid solutions with a pH of 4, sodium hydroxide solutions with a pH of 13, and corrosion from chloride ions (Cl⁻) at certain concentrations.
Wear Resistance: Carbides endow the alloy with wear resistance, mainly resisting abrasion from gypsum solid particles.
