In order to adapt to the growing market needs, my country's corrosion-resistant pump manufacturers have promptly adjusted their structural changes, barely meeting market demand.Based on mastering the basic data on water pump selection, the following aspects should be paid attention to when selecting corrosion-resistant pumps: (1) The process flow where the pump is located.Basic parameters such as the flow rate and head of the pump should be reasonably determined according to the requirements of the process.Generally, considering the normal wear and change in the rotation speed of the pump, the head may decrease. Therefore, when choosing a pump, the pump head can have a margin of 2% to 5%. But it cannot exceed 10%. The basic principle is to ensure that the pump operates within a high-efficiency range.In addition, information about the pump inlet status can be obtained through the process for the calculation of the cavitation allowance of the device.(2) The corrosion of the medium and the selection of materials.Due to the wide variety of chemical media and different properties, accurate characteristic parameters are required, especially corrosiveness, concentration, volatility, vaporization pressure, viscosity, density, etc. These properties are closely related to material selection. Not only metal materials, but also attention should be paid to the interaction between non-metallic materials and media.(3) The temperature of the medium.Temperature has a significant impact on the structural selection of chemical pumps. For example, the support method of the pump body and the design of the cooling (or insulation) system are closely related to the temperature of the conveyed medium.(4) Selection of spindle seal and its auxiliary system.According to actual case analysis, unit failures caused by spindle seals account for a high proportion of all failures, and in some cases it can reach more than 30% to 40%.Therefore, the choice of spindle seal is crucial.When selecting the model, in addition to the physical and chemical properties of the medium, the two important parameters: the seal chamber pressure and the medium temperature in the seal chamber should also be understood.
