The working principle of the centrifugal slurry pump is based on the action of centrifugal force, and its detailed work flow is as follows:
The rotation of the impeller is closely connected with the inhalation process of liquid. The motor drives the pump shaft to rotate, thereby driving the impeller to rotate at high speed. The impeller is designed with multiple blades, and the shapes and sizes of these blades are optimized for specializing in the treatment of media containing solid particles.
Under the action of the high-speed rotation of the impeller, a low-pressure zone is formed in the central area of the impeller. External fluids, including liquids and solid particles therein, are sucked into the central position of the impeller through the suction line and suction chamber of the slurry pump, driven by atmospheric pressure or pre-pump system pressure.
Next is the process of centrifugal acceleration and energy conversion. Once the fluid enters the impeller, the blade begins to work on the fluid, causing it to accelerate in the direction of the blade and move towards the outer edge due to the action of centrifugal force. In this process, solid particles are effectively suspended in the liquid and move along with the liquid.
As the fluid continues to accelerate and is pushed towards the outer edge of the impeller, its kinetic energy is gradually converted into pressure energy. When the fluid is given sufficient pressure, it is discharged from the outlet of the pump and then transported to the destination through the drain line.
The whole process is a continuous cycle. The impeller continues to rotate, and the above process continues to circulate, thereby achieving continuous fluid delivery. In the snail pump housing, due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel, the liquid will gradually slow down, and at the same time, it will convert part of the kinetic energy into static pressure energy, and finally flow into the discharge pipe at a higher pressure.
