Reasons for Damage to Slurry Pump Bearings

Slurry pump bearings are also one of the important accessories of the slurry pump. There are several reasons for damage:

1, the use of bearing precision is not enough.

2, not enough lubricant. The first thing to consider is the type of slurry pump, because different types of slurry pumps, the lubricant needed is also different. There are two main types of lubricants, namely, there is oil lubrication and grease lubrication. Grease lubrication: add 2# or 3# lithium grease. Oil lubrication: add 32# or 46# oil.

3. Bearing water pressure and water volume should meet the regulations, adjust (or replace) the tightness of the packing at any time, do not cause the shaft seal leakage, and timely replacement of the shaft sleeve.

4. Ensure the coaxiality of the motor and pump, ensure that the elastic pad in the coupling is complete and correct, and should be replaced in time after damage. Ensure that the pump components and piping systems are installed correctly, firmly and reliably.

5. When replacing the bearings, make sure that there is no dust in the bearing assembly and the lubricating oil is clean, and the temperature of the bearings when the pump is running is generally no more than 60-650C, and the maximum temperature is no more than 750C.
