What Kind of Packing Is Used for Slurry Pumps?

(1) Oil-immersed asbestos pack YS250 (*limited use temperature 250), YS350 (only use temperature 350): The outstanding features of this product are that the packs contain lubricating oil, small friction coefficient, and large compression.

Suitable media: steam, air, industrial water, heavy petroleum products.

(II) Rubber asbestos pack XS250 (*limited to use temperature 250), Rubber asbestos pack XS350 (*limited to use temperature 350):

Suitable media: steam, water, alkaline solutions.

(III) Polytetrafluoroethylene asbestos packing SMF: Use temperature: -100250, suitable media: weak acid, strong alkali and other corrosive media.

(IV) Oil-soaked cotton and linen YMM: Use temperature only: 120, applicable media: river water, tap water, ground water, sea water, etc.

(V) Polytetrafluoroethylene fiber braided filler.

During use, a small amount of filler leaks begins. After the filler is in a relatively stable state, the filler gland is adjusted. Do not press too tightly at the beginning to prevent the filler from burning out.

(VI) Carbon fiber braided sealing filler: It is a new high-modulus material. It has the advantages of high strength, large elastic modulus, high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, and self-lubricating.

During initial operation, the filler gland should be tightened to allow a small amount of leakage of the medium. After running for a period of time, it should be gradually tightened to allow the filler to enter a relatively stable stage. Carbon fiber polytetrafluoroethylene braided filler (FTH-1). If leakage is found during operation, the filler gland can be tightened multiple times.

(7) Phenolic fiber braided sealing filler: It has the advantages of high temperature resistance, acid medium corrosion resistance, adsorption, good thermal insulation performance, small friction coefficient, wear resistance, low price for the human body and the environment. It is mainly used in packing seals of high-pressure plunger pumps, high-pressure water pumps, fiberglass acid-resistant pumps, methane ammonia pumps, reciprocating pumps and oilfield deep well pumps. The performance of the use is shown in the following table:

Suitable media: acid and alkali, engine oil, steam, water, etc.

(8) Expanded graphite (flexible graphite) material: In addition to its excellent self-lubricity, corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance, radiation resistance, wear resistance, and low friction coefficient, it also has the advantages of flexibility, compression elasticity and wide use temperature range. The pH value of the media that can be applied is 0 to 14. Except for a few strong oxidizing media such as aqua regia, concentrated nitric acid, and dichromate at high temperatures, it can be used all other media. Before loading the packing box, cut a hole with a blade, and then it can only be twisted axially, put on the shaft, pressed into the packing box, and the cut should be staggered by 900 or 1200 per turn. Slight leakage is allowed at the beginning of operation, and the leakage volume will gradually decrease over time.

(9) Carbon-graphite material: has good thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, chemical stability, thermal shock resistance, self-lubricity and processability. In the pump industry, it is used in the end surface sealing, ring sealing, mechanical sealing ring, axial sealing, rotary ring sealing, mechanical sealing ring, axial sealing, rotary plate and other occasions.
