Problems Caused by Improper Operation of Slurry Pump

Causes the impeller to fall off or even break. This is a very common problem, and it also means it happens frequently. After the motor is reversed, the impeller falls off and the pump cannot rotate. In severe cases, the impeller and guard plate will break and the losses will be huge. Installation Instructions

The Chinese state stipulates that before the pump is running, the steering is measured, the coupling pin is inserted, and the manual rotation (rotating coupling) is not hindered before the pump can be opened.

No circulating water, or improper water

The water-cooled mechanical seal must first turn on the circulating water and then turn on the pump.

Improper order of opening and closing the valves during shutdown, causing problems

This problem is clearly stated in the instruction manual, and the correct order is as follows

Starting sequence: Check the status of the inlet and outlet valve (close) Open the clean water inlet valve Open the normal pressure cooling water valve (sub-impeller seal or mechanical seal) or shaft seal water valve (check water pressure) Open the pump until stable operation Open the slurry pump inlet

Valve Close the clean water inlet gate valve Open the outlet valve.

Shut down sequence: Open the imported clean water valve Close the inlet pipeline valve (flush for 25 min) Close the outlet valve Stop the machine Close the shaft sealing water or normal pressure cooling water Close the inlet clean water valve.
