How to Correctly Install the Slurry Pump

1) It is necessary to ensure that the steering of the slurry pump is consistent with the direction indicated by the arrow on the bracket. The motor must be completely disconnected from the pump during trial rotation. It is strictly forbidden for the motor to drive the pump shaft to rotate inversely, otherwise the parts will be damaged.

2) A pump with packing seal must be added as required before driving.

3) When a pump with mechanical seal is used, the supply of shaft sealing water must be ensured. It is strictly forbidden to operate without water, otherwise the mechanical seal will be burned out.

4) Use a pump with thin oil lubricated, and the oil level line of the oil standard should be refueled before starting the pump. It is strictly forbidden to drive without oil, otherwise the bearings will be burned.

2. Installation

1) Check before installation

The pump has been inspected and tested before leaving the factory. In order to ensure that it is in a good working condition, it must be installed correctly. When installing, you should first check whether the model and parameters of the equipment are correct according to the "Packaging List", whether the parts are complete and complete, and whether the technical information and quality proofs carried randomly are complete. After verification, you should read the relevant technical information in detail and master the relevant technical requirements and operating instructions before you can perform installation. Do not operate blindly.

2) Pump installation and correction

Horizontal pump unit should be installed using the secondary grouting method. After installation, the center line of the unit should be consistent with the center line of the foundation; the deviation of the center of the unit above the design value should not be greater than /-2mm, and the horizontal tolerance of the unit is 0.1/1000.

For belt-driven pump units, the parallelism between the pump shaft and the motor shaft should be ensured, and the pulley should be used to align it. If the center distance is small, you can use a ruler to align the end face of the flat pulley.

3) Configuration requirements for the inlet and outlet pipe section of the slurry pump

The diameter of the suction pipe should be the same as the inlet diameter of the pump or slightly larger than the inlet diameter of the pump. The principle is to avoid cavitation from the pump, and it cannot form deposition in the pipeline. A telescopic link should be installed between the suction port of the pump and the suction pipe to disassemble and install the pump.

The diameter of the discharge outlet pipe is related to the sedimentation flow rate of the slurry properties. Generally speaking, the diameter of the discharge pipe should be equal to or slightly larger than the outlet diameter of the pump. The outlet gate valve should be the same as the discharge pipe diameter. The pressure gauge is located on the straight pipe section between the pump outlet and the first valve.
