Similarly, when a small-pipe water pump uses a large water pipe to pump water, the actual head of the water pump will not be reduced. Instead, the loss of head will be reduced due to the decrease in the resistance of the pipeline, which will increase the actual head. Some users also believe that when pumping water with a large water pipe with a small pipe, the motor load will inevitably greatly increase. Little do we know that the size of the liquid pressure is only related to the height of the head, but has nothing to do with the cross-sectional area of the water pipe. As long as the head is turned on, the impeller size of the water pump remains unchanged. No matter how large the pipe diameter is, the pressure acting on the impeller is certain. However, after the pipe diameter increases, the water flow resistance will decrease, which will increase the flow rate and the dynamic consumption will also increase appropriately.
