Common classifications and characteristics of vertical slurry pumps

The main types of vertical slurry pumps are as follows:

SP Vertical Slurry Pump:

  • Structural Characteristics: Utilizes an open impeller, which offers good passing ability. It can handle media containing larger particles effectively and is less prone to blockage.

  • Application Scenarios: Commonly used in industries like metal mining, where it performs well in handling slurries with larger particles. Its pump casing typically has three upper bolt points, making it relatively easy to distinguish from other types of vertical slurry pumps based on appearance.

  • Material Selection: The wetted parts are available in either metal or rubber. When the conveyed slurry is highly abrasive but requires low corrosion resistance, rubber wetted parts can be chosen to reduce costs while providing good wear resistance. If higher corrosion resistance is required, metal materials with appropriate anti-corrosion treatments can be selected.Common classifications and characteristics of vertical slurry pumps 1

ZJL Vertical Slurry Pump:

  • Structural Characteristics: Employs a closed impeller, making it suitable for conveying smaller particles or more viscous media. Compared to open impellers, closed impellers offer higher efficiency but have certain limitations regarding particle size and concentration in the medium.

  • Performance Advantage: Offers an advantage in terms of head, making it suitable for applications requiring higher head.

  • Application Scenarios: Widely used in the domestic coal washing industry. It is an ideal choice for scenarios requiring higher head, where the media particles are relatively small and viscous.

Long Shaft Submerged Vertical Slurry Pump:

  • Structural Characteristics: Typically adopts a vertical, single-stage, single-suction, cantilevered structure with a long shaft that allows it to work submerged in liquid, free from suction lift limitations. This structure enables the pump to operate normally under conditions with low liquid levels or high suction lift requirements.

  • Component Composition: Main structural components include the motor, coupling, bearing housing, long shaft, impeller, pump casing, and sealing device. These components work together to ensure efficient and stable operation of the pump.

  • Application Scenarios: Suitable for applications with significant liquid level changes or where submerged operation is required, such as slurry conveyance in large pools or deep pits.Common classifications and characteristics of vertical slurry pumps 2

New Type Vertical Slurry Pump Designed to Prevent Clogging:

  • Structural Innovation: This type of slurry pump features special structural designs, such as a special quick-release mechanism that allows for rapid disassembly of the upper and lower flanges. This facilitates easy cleaning of impurities inside the pump, effectively preventing operational disruptions caused by clogging.

  • Application Advantage: Offers good adaptability for conveying slurries containing numerous impurities that are prone to causing blockages. It helps reduce downtime for maintenance due to clogging, thereby improving production efficiency.
