For those unfamiliar with slurry pumps, these two terms might raise the question: Are they the same type of pump? The answer is yes. They refer to the same type of pump.
Due to differences in installation methods, one type of slurry pump has its pump head immersed in the slurry, which is why it is called a submerged slurry pump. During installation, the motor is positioned above the mounting plate, while the pump head is below, giving it an upright appearance, which is why it is also referred to as a vertical slurry pump.
Common series of submerged slurry pumps include the SP series and the ZJL series. The wet-end parts of these two series are made of high-chromium alloy. There is also an SP series variant with wet-end parts made of rubber material.
Another type of submerged pump is the PNL series, whose wet-end parts are made of cast iron. This series is more suitable for conveying slurries that contain only mud and no solid particles.
