Slurry pump shaft seals play a critical role in preventing leakage and protecting the bearing assembly. CNSME offers three main types, each suited to different operating conditions and customer preferences.
The gland seal uses packing and a lantern ring with clean flushing water to create a reliable barrier. It is simple, cost-effective, and works well in applications where clean water is readily available. Our improved designs minimize water consumption while maintaining excellent sealing performance.
The expeller seal provides a dry-running option that requires no external flushing water. Centrifugal force from the expeller ring keeps slurry away from the packing during operation, making it ideal for plants that want to reduce water usage or avoid dilution of the process slurry. This seal performs particularly well on pumps handling coarse particles or intermittent duty.
Mechanical seals deliver the highest level of leak prevention and are preferred for high-pressure or environmentally sensitive applications. Our cartridge-style mechanical seals are easy to install and maintain, with materials chosen for excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance.
All three seal types are available as interchangeable spare parts that fit directly on existing CNSME pumps or compatible international brands. We help customers select the best seal based on slurry characteristics, pressure, and maintenance capabilities.
Proper seal selection and regular inspection significantly reduce downtime and operating costs.
